Joyer Farm Adventure in Lino Lakes offers lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. While there is an entry fee of $14.99 per person three years and above, this sunflower farm is worth the price of admission. Some of the fun kid-friendly activities you’ll find include a maze, tractor pedal races (for small and big kids), an obstacle course, playhouse, tug-of-war, a fun slide.

Tip: Visit the sunflower fields at Joyer Farm Adventure in early August at a discounted rate.

And you’ll even find a barnyard full of animals. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the Joyer Arm barnyard and the petting zoo during our visit. We had a baby in a stroller (my nephew). And it was a very hot day. Not lots of shade here so remember to wear sunscreen and a hat. And I was wearing sandals. This sunflower field’s barnyard requires closed-toe shoes.

The highlight of our visit to the 106-year-old family-owned Joyer Farm Adventure was taking a tractor ride to the Sunflower Walk. Here you’ll wander through fields of tens of thousands of happy sunflowers growing in all stages – from sprouts to mature sunflowers. The sunflower field also serves as a great backdrop for some candid shots with lots of props.

Once you’ve explored the Sunflower Walk, you can cut your own sunflower from the vast U-Pick sunflower field. Bring your sunflower of choice to the table in the field. Staff will wrap it up in a bag with water and a paper towel. It was very hot so was grateful we could also purchase beverages in this sunflower field.
